What Is The Working Principle Of A Horizontal Gas Fired Steam Boiler?

Sep 11, 2026 Leave a message

The Horizontal Gas Fired Steam Boiler is a three-pass wet-back fire tube boiler, widely used in food processing, chemical, textile and other industrial production. Natural gas serves as fuel, and an automatic burner controls gas supply, ignition and combustion.

After gas enters the burner, it burns inside the furnace chamber and releases heat. This is the first pass, where heat transfers to boiler water through radiation heat exchange. High-temperature flue gas flows into the reversal chamber and moves to threaded smoke tubes of the second pass, continuously heating boiler water by convection heat transfer. The flue gas then enters smoke tubes of the third pass to release remaining heat. Waste heat can be recovered via an economizer or condenser before flue gas discharges through the chimney.

The boiler keeps feeding water continuously. Water absorbs heat and turns into pressurized steam, delivered to production stations through pipelines. The whole unit is equipped with interlock protection systems for water level, pressure and flame. It will cut off gas supply automatically in abnormal conditions to avoid operation risks.

As a boiler manufacturer, we adopt corrugated furnace and threaded smoke tube structures to improve heat exchange efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. Each unit undergoes hydrostatic test and combustion commissioning before delivery. Customers may select low-nitrogen combustion components to meet environmental standards in different regions.
