Thermal oil boiler, also known as thermal fluid heater or hot oil boiler, is a type of indirect heating system. They use a heat transfer fluid, often a synthetic or mineral-based oil, to transfer heat from a burner to the heating equipment. The heat transfer fluid circulates through a closed loop system, transferring thermal energy to the target process.
Thermal oil boiler has the following characteristics.
- Indirect Heating: The heat transfer fluid does not come into direct contact with the process material but indirectly transfers heat to it.
- High Temperature Applications: Suitable for high-temperature processes, such as in the chemical, petrochemical, and manufacturing industries.
- Precise Temperature Control: Allows for precise control of the process temperature.
- Closed System: Operates in a closed-loop system, minimizing the risk of contamination.
