(1) Storage and transportation: Emulsified asphalt is a stable emulsion made by mixing asphalt, water and emulsifier. Due to the presence of water, its stability is lower than that of ordinary asphalt. Therefore, storage tanks are needed during storage and transportation to ensure that its quality is not affected.
(2) Prevent stratification: After emulsified asphalt is left standing for a long time, the asphalt will separate downwards, and the water and emulsifier will float upwards, resulting in stratification. The design of the vertical tank can avoid this phenomenon, so that the asphalt emulsion remains in a uniformly mixed state and ensures its stability.
(3) Maintain temperature: A stirring device should be installed in a large storage tank to slow down the asphalt separation rate. The blade type of the stirring device is generally a paddle type. Storage tanks of 10 to 30 tons can use vertical stirring, and storage tanks of 30 to 50 tons can use horizontal bottom stirring.
(4) Cooling efficiency: The Asphalt Emulsion Storage Tank includes a tank body for storing emulsified asphalt. The outer wall of the tank body is connected to a heat dissipation structure. A protective cover is provided on the outer side of the heat dissipation structure.
